We spent Christmas with our friend Yann and his family. We had turkey and chestnuts and all sorts of yummies. Everyone loved Isabella’s Christmas outfit that Yann has pictures of and has yet to send to us. On the way home a drunken man beatboxed on the train. and managed to sing “Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone”, simultaneously and on tune. I never heard a person beatbox in person and do it well so this was an amazing experience for me.

The rest of the holiday break was spent resting and playing with Isabella. She has not only discovered her voice but also her feet. She likes to hold them and resembles a small flesh handbag waiting to be picked up by the handles. Finding her voice involves her screaming at the top of her lungs for no apparant reason. She will scream, laugh about it, and scream some more. Since we are from rather loud nationalities, Italian and Greek, our whole house ends up wailing together for no odd reason. This of course makes her laugh even more.

Isabella is a very cheery child and I am so happy for that. I must be doing something right .
