Saturday Shopping!
I love Switzerland but I hate how everything closes at 6 on Saturday.
Today we went to Lenzopark, which is a minimall but not a strip one just a small mall. I gained alot of weight when I was pregnant and still am 3 sizes bigger in pants than I was before. I am naturally broad so I only am 1 shirt size bigger. I am glad the longer shirts that longer empire waist shirts are in style because then I can buy shirts that don’t showcase my gut but are still fashionable. There is a store called Takko which has shirts that say XL and are XL not medium. I got 3 shirts which didn’t end up with me sobbing in the try on room which happened last time I went shopping.
There was a closeout store in the basement which had tons of things for only 5CHF. There were tons of Boyd’s Bears so we held a few up to Isabella and she smiled at them so we figured why not. I like bears and they had little ones so I got some too. They also had these stacky bear rings. I got a few for my up coming diaper cakes. 2 of our friends are expecting. I swear once you have a kid everyone you know decides we need a kid now too!
Then we went to Jumbo, the hardware store, in search of resin. I found out what it is called in German thanks to a lovely Dawandian. I am really looking forward to using it. Sadly I think that polyester resin is the easiest to find here and that Jumbo did now have any. I am going to buy a mask too to help with the fumes and I will be curing it on the balcony. Yay balkon!
Lastly we went to the grocery store, COOP, and got food and diapers for the week.
We made pretty good time for walking and waiting for/taking the bus. We don’t own a car and now neither of us is liscensed to drive. I let mine expire.
Now I think the small fry is in need of some foodies so off to make a bottle.

I did not know that stores are only open until 6 in Switzerland! However, on Saturdays, I think it’s long enough. Opening hours until 8 p.m. are convenient on weekdays though.
That’s interesting that you two don’t have a car!!!
And I know COOP! We used to have it in Germany in the past and I saw it in Switzerland 3 years ago.

I just wish they were open a bit later because my husband is home and we need to make any large purchases on days he is here. Some places in Switzerland (like here) aren’t open until 8 even during the week. In the states things are open until 9pm except Sunday. On Sunday things are open until 6.
