What…is your name?
I’m Nichole Moraila and I run Mucha Muchacha Jewelry
in L.A.
What…do you make?
Fused glass jewelry. My designs are modern and groovy
with colors that totally POP! at you. My jewelry is
really fresh and playful.
What… is your favorite color?
At the moment I would say turquoise but really any
bright colors I guess…which is funny because I
always run around in black t-shirts and blue jeans. I
myself do not wear much color when it comes to
clothing. However, I do appreciate colorful jewelry.
What … is your main influence?
I live in L.A. so I would say that Chicano artists
from my city influence me with their use of color.
Also, I’m a founding member of the L.A. Craft Mafia,
so everyone who comes out to our monthly craft parties
to craft with us, they totally influence me! Each
event is always full of really creative people, which
is so cool. They help fuel my enthusiasm for craft.
Where… is your shop?
I have a shop on Etsy. The city of Los Angeles is my
shop, haha. I sell at events like Roller Derby, flea
markets and shows at art centers. I sell at craft
shows in San Diego when the Craft Mafia girls host
shows. I am doing Renegade Craft Fair-San Francisco
this year and I’m really excited about that.
