Jenny of Jenny Karlsson Design
Jenny makes all sorts of accessories. I personally like her wrist cuffs. She also has a blog you can check out here. So let’s see what she has to say.
What…is your name?
Jenny Karlsson ( JennyKarlssonDesign)
What…do you make?
I make accessories mostly. Bags, jewellery, knitted scarfs, crocheted hats. Then there’s also cards, small silly creatures and what else that appears from my creativity. I have always been making things, most of the time. I feel out of balance if I don’t, it’s a great thing to have realised that already ![]()
I want to make people to think, be inspired or just plain happy. I do free hand embroidered words of wisdom on bags, or use pictures from old magazines that can be hilarious when taken out of its context. Stamps are just too beautiful to just be thrown away.
What… is your favorite color?
I like a lot of colours.. But I think it might be moss-green, or something that has to do with leaves and plants.
What… is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
Depends. Is it an African or an European swallow?
What … is your main influence?
Times past I think.. And nature. I find inspiration at all sorts of places, it’s mostly things that makes me feel good & inspired. Like costume dramas, arts & crafts movement, the pre-raphaelites, silly things, illustrated childrens’ books, beautiful photos, art noveau, William Morris etc. What they all have in common is the feeling I get from them. I am a lot about feelings ![]()
Therefore my ‘Feeling before fashion’ - slogan
Where… is your shop?
I have both Dawanda & Etsy shops online, and my things can also be found at a Swedish site called Ssignerat.se (meaning ’signed’)

I love wearing the pretty little plum colored crocheted pin with a “jewel” in it that Jenny made, which I found in her Etsy shop. I also enjoy the stamp from Sweden on a wrist cufflet that she made.
