Rena of LilyCobWeb

July 28th, 2008 by Andreanna

Rena makes wonderful crocheted jewelry. My personal favorite is her mellow yellow leather flower choker. She just opened her Dawanda shop this May so she is a newer seller! So let’s see what she has to say:

What…is your name? My name is Rena. My shop name is LilyCobWeb.

What…do you make?
I make crocheted and beaded wearable items, mainly pendants, chokers, pins, and beaded cuffs. I also make bead-and-wire crochet jewellery. I make hats, scarves and bags in the winter!

What… is your favorite color?
Hard to pick just one, but all shades of pink and purple. Also, teal, indigo, orange…..just give me a watercolour paintbox.

What… is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
It’s the speed of a beautiful thought!

What … is your main influence?
Romanticism in art and literature, the Expressionists, Surreallism, the music and style of Kate Bush, Vivienne Westwood. The motifs of Irish Crochet Lace. Nature, especially trees, leaves and flowers.

Where… is your shop?
