Happy 4th of July!

July 4th, 2008 by Andreanna

As an  expat American I still try to celebrate holidays the way my family did which usually meant sitting around and eating (In fact most of our holidays involved eating and of course a good family argument which we followed with more eating. My in laws never have as exciting holidays as my family.).  Today I will be making chili and since we don’t have a grill I will still make hot dogs and dream of how much better they would taste on the grill. I thought I would do a little Dawanda feature and really I wasn’t sure I would find anything there but I did!

First is this amazing print titled “Dr. Whirlwind, Head Medicine Man of the Tribes“. This amazing piece is by George S. Petrella.  Moving right is a cute Stars and Stripes hoodie from oneway. Next is a Sacajawea coin pendant from wowcoin. Below that is a Flag Brooch from Jenny Bridger made from a recycled bottlecap! Lastly are these awesome Buffalo Nickel cufflinks from benallenjewellery.

To all my American readers wherever you are have a great holiday and have a geat weekend to everyone else!

Nice choices- especially on the print- I know you made the artists day…:-)

Thank you both. I was actually shocked to find a good mix of selections from all over the globe.

Poor hubby I have had mine pick up some weird stuff though so we should introduce them and they can talk about their things I had to pick up horror stories.
