Behold the newness that is now in my shoppies!

Wicked Pleasures held a contest and I won! I got a lovely write up in her blog yay! You can read it here.

I was also lucky enough to be featured in Cuteable for October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month posts. I am really happy that one of my items were chosen to start such a worthwhile set of posts!
Also I managed to pack up my craft room so I am almost totally ready for my big move to the French part of Switzerland.

I was recently contacted to join in a blog merry go round. Basically it is a group of bloggers who all write on a specific topic. The other bloggers are:
Sara (me) from http://sarastexturecrafts.blogspot.com/
Ruth from http://insidetheartisan.blogspot.com/
Charlotte from http://fancypicnic.blogspot.com/
Lily from http://lilypangart.blogspot.com/
Marian from http://florcitasart.blogspot.com/
Fabs from http://easterya.blogspot.com/
Anna from http://halfanacreblog.blogspot.com/
Agathe from http://lebarduvent.blogspot.com/
Andreanna from http://blog.glamasaurus.com/
The topic for this month is our personal journeys into crafts.
I started crafting as a child. I have always been a bit of a loner and can honestly say I never had many friends until my adulthood. I would have the casual friend but I would always feel just different from them. Instead of being invited to the movies or to mall I would spend weekends at my grandparents making elaborate displays in tiny wooden dressers.
It was an escape from the isolation I felt from my peers. As I got older crafts continue to be a way for me to deal with stress and help me relax. As my life started towards the twists and turns of adulthood I put my creativity aside.
When I was 20 I started working with a girl who introduced me to polymer clay. We worked in a call center and in between taking orders on bike parts we would work on bottles covered in clay scenes or candle holders adorned with suns. I had found a new love using my talents to help me get through the day. I continued crafting until I moved to Switzerland. While I was here I took all my clay know how and applied it making hair accessories. I had short hair and wanted something fun to pull my hair back. That is how glamasaurus was born. I eventually expanded into fashion accessories and that was that.

Laia makes adorable polymer clay creations. She is still new to etsy and hopefully this interview will help her get her first sale!
What…is your name?
My name is Laia and I’m from Barcelona, Spain
What…do you make?
I started 10 years ago making beaded bracelets and necklaces for my friends and me.
Now I mostly make tons of one-of-a-kind polymer clay goodies (cellphone charms, bracelets, pendants, keychains…) but felt brooches and other kinds of jewelry are also my passion.
What… is your favorite color?
Love warm colors! Specially Orange and red
but I now love pink and green (together).
What… is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow? (Ok you really don’t have to answer this one.)
hahaha don’t know!
What … is your main influence?
I create food that I do not eat (my bf is nutritionist..lol) and I’ve recently started creating food that we usually eat here such as cheese and ham (hot) or nutella sandwiches.
Where… is your shop?

If you haven’t noticed I Have a few nasty feedbacks on Dawanda.
One I can understand. I told the customer if she didn’t receive her order by the end of the week let me know and I will resend. She never messaged me so I thought maybe they were just being held up in customs. I resent even though she already left me a bad feedback. Hopefully she will change it but if not at least I did all I could.
The next person sent cash in the mail and 3 days after I got her payment she decided to leave me bad feedback. I am sure she has probably gotten her package by now and hope she will change her feedback then again I wouldn’t count on it.
The last person never paid for their order. I cancelled it but someone at Dawanda didn’t cancel it correctly so now I have a lovely feedback that says I am incompetent. I requested it to be removed but they have to consult with the buyer. I don’t understand why since the buyer backed out.
So from now on I will only leave feedbacks after a buyer leaves them for me.

In hopes of spurring some sales I listed some discounted Lego earrings. Hopefully that will change the recent bad reviews.
In good news my etsy shop is opened and I have already had 2 sales!

So everyone please send me some luck so these icky situations just go away and my sales pick up again.
